Notes

The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire) is a classic Christmas song written in 1945 by Bob Wells and Mel Torme.

 

This arrangement for Brass Quintet is a great addition to your quintet's Christmas concert, or to use for carolling. The first trumpet part can be played on a flugelhorn for a sweeter sound if desired; this part stays well within the flugelhorn's range and has the melody a lot of the time. Brass players and audience alike are sure to enjoy this arrangement.
